BECOMING AN APPRENTICE

The IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical
Workers is the largest electrical union in the
world. The IBEW represents workers' rights in all
areas of the electrical industry.
The NECA (National Electrical Contractors
Association) is the management association for
electrical contractors. NECA represents thousands
of employers who guarantee their work and perform
quality work on time and on budget.
To provide the highly skilled workforce to meet
customer needs and insure job satisfaction for
electrical workers, the IBEW and NECA sponsor the
very best, unparalleled apprenticeship training.
The IBEW and NECA jointly formed the NJATC
(National Joint Apprenticeship and Training
Committee) for the electrical construction
industry. The NJATC developed standards that are
adopted and used nation wide to select and train
Qualified applicants.
